We bought a house!
The biggest thing that's happened in the past 4 months since we've posted last is that we are the new owners of a 2-story, 3 bedroom home here in Des Moines. We are set to move in March 26th and we couldn't be more excited. The house is just about everything we wanted with the exception that it only has a one car garage instead of two. Besides that we have been continuing to work hard at our current jobs. I have now been at Vatterott College for 6 months and Kristine has been at Hallmark for 5 months.
Our future plans include a trip to Eugene in June to go see graduation at EBC. It will probably be a 3 day trip in Eugene, and about 4 or 5 up in Kennewick, WA for my uncle's wedding. It will be good to be be back and see the people that are still around. I can't believe its almost been an entire year since we ventured out here to Iowa. Time flies, but the memories never fade.
On a less positive note, I just wanted to ask that anyone who feels led, will you please pray for Kristine's parents as they are going through some very difficult times right now. Life is very interesting at times, flat out hard at others. Jesus is the only way we can make it through this life, so let us always seek His face and rely on His strength to make it through our sojourn here on this little speck known as earth. Heaven awaits, and all I can say is come Lord Jesus!
****Thought for this blog: Is the truth always the best way to go? For example, if someone very special to you asks you if you like how he/she looks and it really isn't that good, do you tell a "white lie" and say they look good or do you be flat our honest and say what you really think? From a fleshly standpoint I say a white lie is ok, from God's perspective a lie is a lie? Therefore honesty is the only way to go. Any thoughts or comments?
